I only have this citation for my grandfather, and I am researching our family tree, it would help if I could get more information on where he was born to trace my family, appreciate any other service information. Thank you

Mike, I do not know if you have seen that he had a later number, 6906170. This was not issued before August 1920 and may be a hint that his service record has survived and is among the many thousands now being digitised by National Archives for release via Ancestry.

His campaign medal index card includes the address Marsh House Cottage, Tillingham, Southminster.

Not sure if that helps?
