Would appreciate any information re the 1/4th Yorks and Lanc’s regiment at Ravenbeek on 09/10/1917, what was their objective/mission, how involved were they ion any action

The brigade diary gives a detailed narrative and is at WO 95/2804/1 for free at the National Archives
Your starter for ten is the map for the attack. They were just up the road from what is now Tyne Cot cemetery, attacking towards the blue line objective in the swamp of the Ravebeek stream. I know this ground very well as my great uncle Harry Crook continued the attack on 30th October. Everything you need is in the diary, but you’ll see your battalion at the bottom of the map, on the right of the brigade front
